Edward A. Rose, Jr.

General Background

Edward A. Rose. Jr. has been practicing law since December 1995. During this time he has represented businesses in contractual disputes in both State and Federal Court both as plaintiff and defendant counsel and in tax litigation before U.S. Tax Court and the Appeals Division of the Internal Revenue Service. He has also represented clients in trust litigation and probate, professional malpractice, and oil and gas litigation, and aviation matters. He also has advised clients on contracts, corporate and partnership formation, type of entity, tax planning, and estate planning.

Edward A. Rose, Jr. is also a Certified Public Accountant since 1980 and provides CPA services including tax preparation and audits and reviews of financial statements. He is also a qualified peer reviewer and a member of the California Society of CPAs Peer Review Committee. He has also taught college courses as an adjunct professor in Accounting and Taxation and testified as an expert witness.

When I represent clients in any litigation matters I take the time to fully examine the dispute and recommend whether the client should attempt to settle the case or incur the additional expense of litigation. With a sluggish economy and the long time period required to bring the case to trial I provide my clients an honest opinion as to what the best course of action is to reach a favorable outcome.

With respect to all tax matter controversies I recommend whether my client should seek a settlement with the Internal Revenue Service or bring the controversy to appeals and then the U.S. Tax Court.

With respect to aviation matters Edward A. Rose, Jr. knows the issues confronting pilots as he has a certificate as a Commercial Pilot, has Multi-Engine and Single Engine Land ratings and also a Single Engine Sea Rating. He is also instrument rated and has a tail wheel endorsement. He currently pilots a Cessna 310Q multi-engine aircraft.

With respect to business matters Edward A. Rose, Jr., knows the problems confronting businesses. He managed a million dollar auto parts distributor in Calexico, California after the owner died from 2000 until the business was  sold.

Edward A. Rose, Jr. is also a retired major after serving 4 years active and 16 years reserve in the U.S. Army.
